How we handle your data.

1. What we store

Information you provide.

When you create a creator profile on Clear Signal, we store your display name, username, bio, location, social media handles, portfolio URL, and profile photo. This information is provided by you and maintained on your account.

When you add a collaboration record, we store the brand name, brand contact email, campaign name, platform, deliverable type, agreed date, and any notes you provide. Payment amounts and internal notes are stored but are never made public.

Your account email address is used for authentication and platform communications only. It is not publicly displayed.

2. What becomes public

Your public creator profile.

Your public creator profile, visible at clearsignal.co/creator/[username], displays your display name, username, bio, location, social handles, profile photo, and verified collaboration history.

Only verified collaboration records that you have explicitly chosen to publish appear on your public profile. Draft, pending, and unpublished records are not public. Payment amounts, brand contact emails, and internal notes are never publicly visible.

3. What stays private

Information not publicly accessible.

The following is never shown publicly: your account email address, payment amounts, brand contact email addresses, internal collaboration notes, unpublished or draft records, and any moderation or governance activity on your account.

Visibility reference

Public

  • Display name and username
  • Profile bio and location
  • Social media handles
  • Profile photo
  • Verified and published collaborations
  • Earned trust badges

Private

  • Account email address
  • Payment amounts
  • Brand contact email addresses
  • Internal collaboration notes
  • Unpublished and draft records
  • Moderation and governance states

You control which verified records are published. Unpublished records are never visible publicly regardless of verification status.

4. Verification emails

How brand contacts are used.

When you submit a verification request, Clear Signal sends a single confirmation email to the brand contact you provide. This email includes your name, the collaboration details you submitted, and a confirmation link.

Brand contact emails are used solely for the purpose of sending verification requests. They are not stored for marketing purposes, sold, or shared with third parties.

5. Profile visibility

Controlling your public presence.

You can choose to hide your public profile at any time from your profile settings. When your profile is hidden, it is not accessible to the public. Your account and all internal records remain intact.

You can also control which verified collaboration records appear on your public profile by choosing whether or not to publish each record.

6. Governance

Internal moderation.

Clear Signal maintains internal governance controls. In cases where a profile or record is subject to review, profiles or records may be temporarily hidden or archived. These actions do not delete your data. They affect public visibility only. Governance actions are logged internally and are reversible.

7. Data retention and deletion

Keeping and removing your data.

We retain your data for as long as your account is active. If you would like to request deletion of your account and associated records, contact us at hello@joinclearsignal.co.uk. We will process account deletion requests within a reasonable timeframe.

Clear Signal does not sell personal data and does not use creator data for advertising or profiling purposes.
